bridger b Normally I wouldn't spend so much money getting a 4 song record imported to the U.S, but this one is worth it. I'm absolutely in love with this EP. Many thanks for making these beautiful songs. Favorite track: Our Year.

Miss 03:52
I’ll miss Westmoreland House When they finally pull it down Like I miss my goofy teeth From when I was 13 I’ll miss the old greenhouse And the sheds around the back When they turn the lot Into apartment blocks Time plays games but he doesn’t mess around He’ll catch you up the more you try to slow him down I’ll miss hanging out when you’re no longer about Or when I have moved on Or when we both have gone I’ll miss this crummy world When it all gets set on fire When the buildings have collapsed And everything goes black Time plays games but he doesn’t mess around He’ll catch you up the more you try to slow him down I said time plays games but he doesn’t piss around He’ll trip you up the more you try to slow him down Slow him down I can’t take it with me, I know I might as well let it go

Ghost 04:07
I was waiting at the bus stop waiting for my bus to stop but when I held out my hand, it wouldn't slow down man, it wouldn't slow down I was taking it easy then easy overtook me and left me for dead, oh the voice in my head is filled with regret, with regret, with regret and Monday's looking so miserable, maybe Tuesday is too you're talking to yourself in the mirror asking "what can I do?" and your friends won't pick up the telephone even the ones you held close and when the automatic door won't open for you you feel like a ghost I was standing at the terminal for 5, 6, 17 hours waiting for my plane but my plane never came my plane never came so then I screamed into the system but the system was broken I tried to take it up with the authorities but the authorities wouldn't listen to me, no no and Monday's looking so miserable, maybe Tuesday is too you're talking to yourself in the mirror asking "what can I do?" and your friends won't pick up the telephone even the ones you held close and when the automatic door won't open for you you feel like a ghost Saturday's looking so lonely, maybe Sunday is too, talking to yourself in the mirror asking "what can I do?" and your friends won't pick up the telephone even the ones you thought were true some days you just feel shit about the world and the world feels shit about you

Deputy 02:48
guess that I'll live longer than some good ones guess that I'll go sooner than some bad ones cos the good lord gives and he takes away in a way that doesn't make sense to me guess that it's a good job that he's the top dog and I am just a deputy guess I could have ended up a narwhal or some other ocean-dwelling animal but the big man didn't give me the choice to be a blue whale or a porpoise I'd have been a big deal as an elephant seal or swimming as a manatee time will tell the way that only time can if it's a good thing I was born a human with such big visions and such great plans but such a small mind and such tiny hands yeah it's a good job that I'm not at the top I'm better as a deputy I'm better as a deputy I'd rather be a deputy

Our Year 05:55
my little melting ice cream you're looking like a nice dream hot summer fever made me a believer sun is on the way down moon is on the way back up and we're falling back to earth I know that it's gonna hurt but baby, this could really be our year oh and I can see it so clear feel it from the inside out I'm left without a shadow and baby, this could really be our year believe me I can see it so clear feel it from the inside out I'm left without a shadow of doubt summer's gonna stick around no more crawling on the ground no more messing it all up I can tie my own laces up and baby, this could really be our year oh and I can see it so clear feel it from the inside out I'm left without a shadow and baby, this could really be our year believe me I can see it so clear feel it from the inside out I'm left without a shadow of doubt came so close you know we tried felt so good I almost cried and I could still smile inside when the dream finally died

about

Bristol indie rock outlander Robi Mitch offers Our Year, his first release as a solo artist. The songs draw influence from '70s British psychedelia and the breezy indie pop of Taiwan where Robi previously worked as a session musician. All 4 tracks are warmly nostalgic and tinged with melancholy, philosophically exploring the conditions of modern life within the cosiness of Robi's lo-fi production and laid back vocals.

"Amazing" - Richard Pitt, BBC Introducing

"Heavenly" - Mike Mineo, Obscure Sound
